AlphaMinx

AlphaMinx got together as friends  with a shared love of synth layered, beat-driven electronic rock music. The trio have been playing since 2023 developing their sound influenced by bands including Massive Attack, Portishead and Single Gun Theory. The band have self-produced their debut album, inspired under the southern skies of Lutruwita/Tasmania.

Lead by multiple ARIA- award winning artist Monique Brumby, AlphaMinx provides an evocative environment for her lyricism and haunting voice. Chris Evason, keys and percussion, has worked with bands in UK, Spain and Australia. Sound technician Eric Jaques on synthesisers, has an impressive collection of vintage drum machines and synths, that everyone enjoys in the creative process.

'When we first began, it was purely for fun' says Chris, 'but the quality and originality of the music we started to produce surprised us and we knew we had to take it further.'

 'The material is compelling. Working as a band has created a rich foundation for lyric writing, exploring broader themes of the human condition and the liminal world. ' explains Monique.

AlphaMinx is a band you'll want to take with you on long car rides, setting the mood at house parties and to curl up with in a late night warm embrace'
